Services
Say Less Train More offers a range of services to suit varying needs. If you are unsure what service would suit best, please get in touch and I can advise accordingly.
Consultation and 1:1 Initial Session (£120)
An initial Behavioural Assessment allows me to understand your dog and their unwanted behaviours. It also gives me the time to get to know you, as the owner, and fully understand the type of relationship you have with your canine companion. It allows me to identify the issues you are facing and provides me with the time to discuss what training programme will be of optimum benefit to you and your canine companion. This is achieved through discussions with you and observation of your handling inside your home and outdoors either in the comfort of your own garden or in a public area.
At the end of the assessment there will be ‘homework’ to implement straight away before your bespoke programme is designed and sent to you. This will likely include key communication skills, such as charging of a marker system and incentives associated with building motivation.
It is essential to be realistic about the length of time training can take and the investment required from the beginning. Say Less Train More prides itself on being incredibly honest about the longevity of training and that there is rarely ever a ‘quick fix’ to the issues or problems faced. It requires consistency and commitment to the bespoke training programme and a genuine trust in the process to achieve the outcome/goals that have been agreed upon.

During the sessions we will work on the unwanted behaviours that your dog demonstrates and work through your bespoke program to minimise and eradicate these behaviours. To continue seeing steady consistent progress with your dog it is essential for you to be training your dog in between your training sessions with me.
Together, we will work out a realistic training schedule that will work for you. It will take into account your lifestyle. However, flexibility of your lifestyle for the duration of the training programme may be required to achieve the desired outcome within a realistic timescale.
Ongoing support through WhatsApp is available between sessions.
Stay and Train days (£180)
Stay and Train days offer your dog the chance to get one to one hands-on training with me without committing to a Residential Stay. This service allows for your dog to be collected or dropped off to spend the day with me without you, as the owner, being present. During the training day, I will start to build strong foundations and work on any unwanted behaviours. I will also diagnose any further issues that may arise. Your dog will get the chance to be around well-balanced dogs and be exposed to different stimuli that will help to make them an all-round balanced dog.
An initial behavioural assessment is still required to provide me with a full understanding of the issues and the relationship you have with your dog. This will be included within the overall price of a Stay and Train day.
Dependant on your dog’s level of training, I will work on the following:
- Loose Lead walking
- Recall
- Reactivity
- Basic Obedience commands
- Environmental exposure
- .......... and much, much more.
At the end of the training day there will be a one-hour handover during which I will go over all that was undertaken during the day and what we achieved. Homework will be provided with video content showing how to implement the training.
This service would be ideal for dog owners who are unable to commit to the training that is required for their canine companion due to work commitments, family commitments or for those who are seeking initial training/foundations to be embedded by the trainer and for the owner to build upon this.
Videos and photos will be taken throughout the training day and shared with you.
Puppy Training 4 Session Package (£200)
Start your puppy off the right way! Work on building the correct foundations to prevent any unwanted behaviours. I believe that this is the most important stage of your dog’s life. It can be so easy to believe the hype of “puppy classes”. However, I am a firm believer that the optimum training of a puppy is achieved on a one-to-one basis. Mess this bit up and you can end up paying the price further down the line.
I do not offer group classes for puppies as I strongly believe, at best, it is far too distracting an environment for most puppies to learn. Your puppy will learn that other dogs and people are way more fun and interesting than you are, leading to frustration when the dog builds an expectancy of greeting other dogs and people all the time. This, more often than not, results in you having a reactive dog.
Contrary to common beliefs, your puppy does not need to socialize with other puppies. Your puppy needs controlled exposure to dogs/puppies that you know are well balanced and well behaved. Your puppy will also require lots of environmental exposure to become a well balanced dog.
This is a 4-session package, covering a variety of topics to give you and your puppy the best start in their education. Training will include –
-
Crate training
-
Toilet training
-
Walking
-
Basic obedience
-
Recall
-
Marker system
Training should start as soon as you get your puppy. It's never too soon. Be proactive!
Solo Walk & Train – £20 per dog (1hr)
Structured solo walks are aimed at dogs that are unable to walk within a pack and need the training and exposure to different environments. During the solo walk, we will work on building confidence in different situations and building solid foundations through engagement games and obedience training while also being able to work on ongoing training that you are currently working on. Your dog will have great fun training and playing. Following a Walk and Train, you will be provided with ‘homework’ to support you on your own walks with your dog.
Additional dogs from the same household charged at £8 per dog

Residential Stays
Your dog comes to live with me in my home and becomes part of the family. This is not a facility set up and he/she will be exposed to real-life situations; busy parks, cafes, the coming and going of friends and family. I will devote up to 6 hours per day to their training alone. This service is a great option for dogs that need a solid training foundation and dogs with severe behavioural issues that need a reset! This is also a perfect option for owners that have planned holidays and require training for their dog.
How it Works:
Hand over day - up to 4 hours: I spend this time getting to know more about you, your dog and the issues that need addressed. Your dog then comes to stay with me and the training starts!
-
I will get to work on laying the foundations and changing your dog's behaviour for the better.
-
I will create a new routine for your dog to follow each day. This routine will be realistic for you and your lifestyle.
-
I will allocate set amounts of time each day to work solely with your dog and the issues that they are struggling with.
-
I will introduce them to new equipment.
-
I will teach them all basic obedience commands that you will need to use upon their return.
-
I will teach them how to settle at home.
-
I will desensitise them to various environments and socialise them with people and dogs.
-
I will spend extensive time each day reconditioning any severe behavioural issues.
-
I will send you regular video updates.
-
I will write you a report and provide you with a schedule based on the routines I have put into place during the Residential Stay.
-
I will provide up to a 2 hour hand over upon return. I will go over everything I have worked on during their stay in detail. This prepares you for the work you will need to put in following their stay.
-
I will stay in touch with you following the Residential Stay to monitor your progress and offer assistance wherever needed.
-
I will provide up to 2 hour follow up session 4-6 weeks following the Residential Stay. I will visit you at home and check on you all to make sure everything is going well.
Group Walk & Train
Group walks are ideal for dogs that have had at least one solo walk and are deemed suitable for a pack walk.
Groups will be carefully selected to suit each dog and their temperament. Groups will be small (4 dogs max). This is to ensure the safety of all dogs and allows me to build strong relationships while handling each dog. The walk will be structured in a way that each dog receives 1 to 1 attention.
Pictures and videos will be taking throughout the walks. As with Solo Walk and Train, Group Walk and Train will involve the delivery of ‘homework’ to you to allow you to continue to build upon the training that has taken place.
